Unique Presents at Blackwell's Contemporary Craft Shop

The Contemporary Craft Shop will be decorated for Christmas and is perfect for those unique presents. You will be tempted by the finest pieces of jewellery, sleekest leather handbags, fabulous textiles, ceramics, silver, glass, wood and metalwork for the home.

Jewellery by Kate Rhodes - Her work is inspired by nature and features gorgeous colour combinations.

Handbags by Harriet Sanders - Handmade designer leather handbags & fashion accessories.

Textiles by Margo Selby - Luxurious and decorative textile products including cushions, scarves and purses.

Glass by Gillies Jones – Beautiful and elegant hand crafted glass bowls.

Free gift wrapping service will be available on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays throughout November and December.

Blackwell is open daily, 10.30am - 4pm until 31 December (closed 25 & 26 December).

Blackwell Christmas Lunch

Throughout December in Blackwell's
Tea Room, come and enjoy a two or three course pre-booked Christmas lunch (with a vegetarian option), or tuck into a Christmas special open sandwich and finish off with a homemade mince pie served with brandy cream.

Perfect Stocking Fillers

The Craft Shop at the Museum of Lakeland Life & Industry stocks local cashmere scarves by Mary Bell, handmade shabby chic and retro bags from Eleanor's Attic, Herdy Mugs & Gifts and the award winning Hawkeshead Relish. It also stocks a great selection of Christmas greetings cards.

Children's Books

The Book Shop at Abbot Hall stocks a range of children's books, including Drawing for the Artistically Undiscovered by Quentin Blake & John Cassidy, The Scribble Book,The Book with a Whole and The Colouring Book all by Hervé Tullet and Miffy the Artist by Dick Bruna. There is also a specialised range of art books and exhibition catalogues.

Festive Treats

From 1 until 17 December, Abbot Hall's Coffee Shop will be serving mince pies and a festive turkey special sandwich with sage and onion stuffing, cranberry relish and fresh leaves.

The Coffee Shop is open Monday - Saturday, 10.30am until 4.00pm.
